Free Consultation
In this meeting, families can share their concerns about their family member with intellectual disabilities’ Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Individual Support Plan (ISP). I will offer guidance on working together to navigate the special education system, develop an appropriate IEP/ISP, protect their rights, and advocate for their needs in both education and employment. Emphasizing self-advocacy, equality, and solidarity, this consultation is confidential, informative, and tailored to the unique needs of each family.
Document Review
A document review includes documents related to the Full Initial Evaluation (FIE), IEP, ISP, 504, and Progress Reports in order to understand the current programming and its appropriateness for the individual.
Advocacy Services
As an advocate, I'll walk alongside you throughout the year to support you, provide recommendations, and ensure your individual’s educational needs are met and their rights are protected. I will encourage self-advocacy by helping empower you and your individual to take an active role in decision-making. I’ll be available to review documents, attend meetings, provide information and resources, help resolve disputes, and refer parents and guardians to other professionals as needed. Together, we’ll work to ensure your individual is heard and supported in all aspects of their education.
Training & Speaking Engagements
As an advocate, I train on how to be an IDEA advocate! Trainings include, but are not limited to:
- Special Education Services 101 For Families

- A District's Duties Under IDEA for School Board Members
In addition, I offer training on self-advocacy, job coaching, job development, and Employment First principles to empower individuals with intellectual disabilities in achieving their career goals. I am available to speak at conferences, trainings, professional development events, community events, health & wellness fairs, PTAs, provide keynote presentations, and much more.
I’m Arlean Murillo, and I’m passionate about creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. With a master’s in educational leadership, I serve as the executive director of Love of Rose LLC, where I help people find meaningful employment and build self-advocacy skills.
I’m driven by a belief in equality and inclusive communities. I’ve seen how individuals with intellectual disabilities face challenges because society often lacks the tools to fully include them. That’s why I focus on access, fairness, and empowerment in my work.
Through my programs, I help individuals gain employment, confidence, and independence. It’s inspiring to watch them thrive, reinforcing the need for a more inclusive society. I also serve on educational boards, advocating for equitable education and ensuring all students, regardless of ability, can reach their full potential.
My mission is simple: to break down barriers and help people with disabilities lead fulfilling, independent lives. This work is not just my job—it’s my purpose. My goal is a world where everyone is valued, included, and supported to succeed.
